I feel like this could be a super hero name.
Or at least the name of their super powered utility cape.
And frankly, this cowl kind of manages to do that in reality.
I am not even joking when I tell you that you can wear this cowl, which is seemingly JUST A TUBE-ISH SKIRT weirdo thing when you look at it on the hanger. But it's SO MUCH MORE!
"What do I do with it??" is what we hear at markets a lot.
And then the ever lovely Angie and I go into our routine.
"Let me show you!" I'll say, and then proceed to wear it 7 DIFFERENT WAYS.
(This is Nora. She's absolutely lovely)
I'm only sharing three today, because I think that you should go over to Floating Gold's blog post to check it out... here
And let me just say that I have this cream one AND the blue one and they are so soft and cozy and VERSATILE.
(I'm actually wearing my cream one right now. RIGHT NOW!!)

The Owl, a brief recap
Last weekend I shared a booth with my dear friend Angie (who is Floating Gold Iceberg) at The Owl Designer Holiday Market and I brought some of the new jewellery that I've been working on.
I don't have any other pictures of the set up, as it was SO INSANELY busy the whole time that I just did my best to keep up with the press of people.
But it was a great event (Big thank you to Emmy, who while pretty pregnant-with twins no less!) and I am really looking forward to participating again next year!
But I wanted to put a picture up so you can see (or try to anyway) the new jewellery.
I am really keen on it and I am working on more at night once The Kid is asleep, and before I fall asleep!
xo

An Afternoon of talented ladies (where I try to not buy everything in sight)
I just need to say that I am in love with Trapper Jane.
She hosts the BEST studio sales that I have been lucky enough to be invited to 3 times now.
3 TIMES!
Last weekend's sale was no exception. Along side myself and Trapper Jane, Floating Gold Iceberg and Morena were both there and it is SO HARD to not shop.
Good grief I covet these ladies' stuff.
OH HOW I COVET.
please check them out online:

The Bump! Part 4 (36 weeks)
So did you all know that I am a glamorous MODEL now??

(that can not make a straight face for a photo. Ever)
Well it's true.
My wonderful Friend Angie (of Floating Gold Iceberg fame) had me model some of FGI's great maternity friendly wares 2 weekends ago for the Spring line and let me tell you, this stuff is AWESOME.
I love love LOVE that Belle Epoch Dress (the black one above) it is I SWEAR the comfiest thing ever. And it looks smoking hot on non preggo ladies also.
(you'll have to pop over to the FGI blog to check out more pictures of ME as well as catching a glimpse of the Lovely Miss Lizz rocking the same clothes (in all of her non preggo sveltness.)
Sonny is pretty much fully cooked at this point, as in we could basically give birth any day now, which makes me feel like barfing a little bit. (We're sitting pretty at 38 weeks right now)
I am super excited to meet him, don't get me wrong, but the sooner he gets here the sooner I have the grow the F up and be a PARENT.
Wha?
But it's okay, because so does Geoff. And the more I think about it, the more I know that he is going to be the Best Dad Ever. He's already pretty damn great, but I have a feeling that Sonny is going to make him even better, and they are going to be the best team you've ever seen.
I am going to be dealing with a lot of naked boys, sweatpants and video games, but I will also have the sweetest, funniest, most loving troupe of weirdos anyone could ask for.
Pretty damn lucky if you ask me.

Pear Tree Market!

I am a little late in posting this, but if you are around Victoria tomorrow and have a chance to pop in, it's LOVELY.
FGI and Verbena have done an AMAZING job of decorating the space and the ladies who are selling are some of the nicest, coolest ladies I have ever met. Seriously.
I love them all.
We'll be there from 11-5 tomorrow!
Hope to see you there!

Lake Jane
I was just browsing through Lake Jane's blog while I drank my first glass of water of the day (I am trying to drink more water, so the routine is one big glass before breakfast to get the day started. So far so good.)
Anyway.
I stumbled across Lake Jane over on Bliss and she is just lovely. And Canadian (Woo Woo!)
She became even LOVELIER when I noticed that she wrote up a really nice post about FGI, and ME!

(all of these tiny photos are from the FGI post on her blog, and on her blog they are regular size!)
So now I am adding her to my Inspiration list to the right so I can check her out all the time.
And you can too!

New Prints!
We've been working on Spring 2010 over at FGI for the last couple of weeks (longer than that really, but particularly for the last couple of weeks)
and it's looking pretty good, if I do say so myself.
Here are some of the prints I've been working on lately...

It's always a relief to me to really get into drawing for a while. Isn't that funny? I forget how much I love it when I get wrapped up in bench work, and other things (easily distracted you know!)
But I've been very happy to hunker down and draw.
Particularly this one.

I had found this leaf on the road on my way into work a few months ago and held onto it for when I was ready to draw again, and I am glad that I did. It was a good couple of sessions of sitting on the floor in the living room, music on, dog cozy, sun in through the windows to make it happen.
Very enjoyable.
