Oh How Pinteresting! :: Spring Rides

I am SO into riding my bike with Sonny.
I say that like we've EVER been out together on a bike.  Because we HAVE NOT.

But.  We.  Will.

I don't actually in reality have a bike right now.  Le Beasty-clette had to be mercifully put out to pasture last summer after languishing in the open car port the WHOLE time I was pregnant.

If you read this blog on the regular, you will be able to count on your fingers that Sonny is 2 soon.

???!!!

Anyway, poor old weird Beasty-clette is no more and I am on the look out for an adult trike.
Yeah that's right.  I still want one.

And I am going to put a kid seat on the front so Sonny and I can take our morning adventures to a WHOLE NEW LEVEL of AWESOME.

One day little buddy.

(I am trying to decide if I should ask for a trike for my birthday...it's not until the end of the summer, but then we could ride next year for sure!)

I still really, REALLY want an adult trike.

I am actually pretty mean to myself, I look at UsedVictoria all the time checking for them, even though I KNOW I can't afford one right now.

One day my pretty.... ONE DAY!!!

Covets! I how I covet.

I have been loving adult tricycles for AGES and have been thinking about how great it would be to be able to get back into shape after Sonny by riding around on one.
I love my Beasty-clette, but she's a little too makeshifty to ride while pregnant, and she's been languishing in the carport for the last 7 months.

Poor girl, I should see if anyone else can give her a good home.

Anyway, I just now off handedly searched usedvictoria for adult tricycles and THIS CAME UP!




So amazing! Can I justify this right now? I feel like I should wait until Snny actually arrives to get a sense of what life will actually be like, but ohmygod it's so awesome!

Someone is going to scoop this up, and I will be super jealous.
(if I'm really lucky it (or something like it) will still be available in the spring.)

bike bikes bikes bikes!

I am having a bit of a covet attack for cool cruiser style bikes.
I sold my bike last fall, because it was WAY too heavy to ride to work, it took me an hour and my legs were JELLY when I got home the one time I tried last summer.
But I really miss it now!
I am visualizing the summer time fun I could have with a new (to me) bike.




And my favorite of all?
The Adult Tricycle.
Yeah, that's right.

I actually took a trike for a test drive a couple summers ago and it was SO AWESOME.
Way less heavy than my previous bike if you can imagine it, and smooth.
Plus think of all the groceries I could pack into that back basket!
I could even pick up hitch hikers in one of those babies!
Wee!
