What's next hipsters??
Yesterday while I was waiting for the bus home, three hipster teens walked by.
This is not a shocking occurrence. Hipster teens are everywhere.
But one of them only had one shoe and a plastic sword on her hip.
???
And I kind of think that she didn't realize she had one missing shoe. Her remaining flip flop was quite insubstantial.
I am hoping that I see them again and she's got a pegleg.
That would be so awesome.
okay, I just discovered that there is a clothing line called PegLeg.
hmmm, hipster conspiracy?? their women's 2008 line looks an awful lot like those teens.

Why I am grateful to live where I do
It's 30 degrees already. It's quarter past ten in the morning.
This is too hot. For me anyway, I know some people really love it, but I am melting.
But since we live on a lake we are able to hop in every hour and regulate the body temperature.
Which is incredible.
And I am SOO unbelievably grateful to be able to do that.

Lines and Shapes
I am coveting this book series right now.
I saw it over at Wren Handmade's blog and I am feeling a kinship with the images she had posted.
I don't know why. I WANT SO BAD to crochet and knit. In fact I do knit, every fall, myself a new necktube.
(this year's will be silver)
But I LURVE, possibly in a pervy way the necklaces that she makes.
These guys...
And I think to myself, "COOL! Learn to crochet so you can may yourself one!"
But when I dare ask.
And also I just want one of hers anyway. So delicate, so beautiful!
I do not have time for the learning of the crochet.
Alex at work taught me how to crochet a chain stitch, but that's as far as I've got, and I am really, if I am honest with myself, too busy catching up with my own work before I can start adding new hobbies.
Especially since I basically took the last month and a half off completely to organize the wedding.
and now I have NO excuses!
But I was very good this weekend so far. 6 pairs of earrings are done and ready to package, as well as 3 samples for new pendants that are WAY cuter than I expected them to be. Plus another pendant sample (not sure if I am going to make this one again, cute, but I dunno.)
And a new sample pair of earrings.
AND I sliced up more antler for the new Antler earrings that are SO AMAZING.
But this artist book series is calling my name. Back to what I was originally getting at.
sigh.

wedding teaser
I feel like I should document the weeks leading up to the wedding in chronological order.
But I am not going to.
Sorry.
You are just going to have to try to follow along!
My gorgeous and amazing friends Sandra and Laura flew in for the week before the wedding to help and generally make my life hilarious for a little while before hand.
And it was the perfect thing.
You will all be seeing pictures of them in various stages of undress (we spent a lot of time on the dock and in the water. It was HOT) and costumes.
We are all photobooth enthusiasts and we can't seem to be in front of a camera together without making a ridiculous face and we took pictures ALL WEEK.
I don't think that I have laughed this hard since NSCAD.
When we were in photobooths instead of working on whatever assignment we should have been.
Anyway, I digress.
Today I am going to talk about setting up.
We rented tables and chairs from a local catering company and set up and decorated ourselves, which again was really great.
I honestly didn't mean to set off the domino chairs, but I totally did.
Twice.
And at the end of the day Sandra and Lauras had tied big white bows to alternating chairs down the aisle too which was so cute.
(I am not seeing pictures with the bows at the moment, but I will keep looking)
If you want to see more pictures from and about the wedding, please check out our wedding blog here.
I am going to try to keep all of the wedding related stuff there!
