Farewell to an old friend

We said goodbye to Norman a month ago.

It's been so hard, adjusting to this new normal, without him.

But it was time.  He had been declining for a while and we knew it was coming.

But it's still hard to let go of him.

 

Rest easy old friend.

There is no one else like you.

He will do this every. single. day. if we let him.

Yeah, we're posting about snails right now.

We get loads of them out after a rain and our path becomes a gauntlet of Very Careful Steps.

Or a crunchy one if we're not paying attention. 
(upsetting for me, but I know that the gardener is quite pleased to have less of them to deal with)

Toddler Tuesday :: First Fridge Art

My lovely friend Andrea hosts art classes from her home studio and she has a drop in Toddler class come up everyone once and a while. 

We were very happy to sign up last week for the Mixed Media class, which was an hour of hilarious toddler wrangling amidst glue sticks, water, paint, felt pen, oil pastels and the occasional runny nose.

Sonny had fun, we hung it on the fridge and I realized that this right here is the First Fridge Art made entirely by him.

I had a moment hanging it up I will not lie.

GPOY (I had to look this up)

So ages ago I came across the acronym GPOY while browsing a blog that I sometimes look at and I had a really hard time figuring out what the what it meant.

I actually had a moment where I thought to myself "Oh NO!  I am TOO OLD FOR THIS!!"
I thought this because there were a few other acronyms floating around at the same time that I wasn't sure about so kind of just glossed over them, because let's be serious... there are only a few blogs that I read to actually READ. 

Mostly I just look at the pictures.

I do NOT "Read it for the Articles."

Ahem.
Anyway, I had to google it.  Oh sorry, I Googled it.

Whatever.

Turns out it stands for Gratuitous Picture Of Yourself.

So here is one!
